Abergwyngregyn is a village of historical note in Gwynedd, a principal area in Wales. Under its historic name of Aber Garth Celyn it was the seat of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd.

Llanllechid
Llanllechid is a village community which lies at the foot of the Carneddi mountain range. The village is about 4 and a half miles from Bangor and approached off the A5 road which leads to Bethesda. The village church is designated to Saint Llechid and the village was home to Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) who was curate of the church. Talybont is a village which lies alongside the river Ogwen on the back road between Bangor and Llanllechid. The village is about 2 and a half miles east of Bangor and approached off the old A5 road which leads to Llanllechid.
The village has one hotel and is also the location of Neuadd Hendref which has recently become a popular destination for musical events.
Due to the location of the village there are limited shops, services and facilities.
